Q4 2006, Pendapatan Bersih Google Capai US$ 1,03M |

Jakarta, Google panen uang. Pendapatan bersihnya pada kuartal empat (Q4) 2006 meroket hampir 3 kali lipat, melebihi perkiraan Wall Street.
Pada kuartal tersebut raksasa mesin cari dengan 6.000 karyawan itu berhasil mengantongi pendapatan bersih sebesar US$ 1,03 miliar. Padahal di kuartal sebelumnya Google hanya mencetak pendapatan bersih US$ 372,2 juta.
Selain itu pendapatan Google juga naik 67 persen menjadi US$ 3,21 miliar, dari US$ 1,92 miliar setahun yang lalu. Seperti dilansir USA Today dan dikutip detikINET, Sabtu (3/2/2007), hampir dua pertiga pendapatannya di kuartal empat berasal dari situs Google.
Google sendiri saat ini sedang mengembangkan format baru dalam bisnis iklan teks pay-peer-click, termasuk iklan radio, video, koran dan korporat.
"Selama tahun fiskal, pendapatan Google melebihi US$ 10 miliar, dan hal ini menjadikan Google sebagai perusahaan dot com dengan waktu tercepat dalam memperoleh angka sefantastis tersebut," ujar Martin Pyykkonen, analis di Global Crown Capital.
Di lain sisi Nielsen/NetRatings berpendapat, nilai pasar (market value) Google yang mencapai US$ 153,5 miliar adalah empat kali lebih tinggi dibanding rivalnya Yahoo!.
Arus pengaksesan data di Google mencapai 24 persen. Dan sekitar 3 miliar pencarian dilakukan di situs tersebut pada Desember 2006. Angka tersebut 2 kali lipat lebih banyak ketimbang yang diperoleh Yahoo.
Sementara Danny Sullivan, editor blog Search Engine Land mengungkapkan, teknologi Google sebenarnya tak terlalu berbeda jauh dengan Yahoo dan Microsoft. "Hanya saja, Google memiliki brand yang bagus," ujar Sullivan. (dwn/dwn) |
